I’m Michèle Margot (short for Michèle van Vliet) and I’m a Rotterdam-based photographer specialized in portraits, with a special interest in music, design and documenting spaces. My favorite images contain something both timeless and raw, which I often find in the combination of analog and digital media.
Fueled by a love for the iconic black and white imagery of music scenes of the 20th century I’ve co-founded BLACK CURRANT mag, an online music magazine for which I do all photography. Everything is shot on film.
After my graduation from the Willem de Kooning Academy with a BA of Design in 2013, I’ve been working freelance in the field of photography. I strongly believe my way of seeing can be translated into different types of photography and therefor I’m open to all kinds of work. My experience ranges from interior photography (click!) to weddings (click!) and events (click!) and everything in between – so if you like what you see, but what you’re looking for isn’t specifically on view on my website: feel free to ask!
My clients include: High Five Productions (Unilever / KFC / Zwitsal / De Ruijter) ///// Willem de Kooning Academie ///// Hogeschool Rotterdam ///// Adidas ///// Vice ///// innocent drinks ///// Frame magazine ///// Galerie Ron Mandos. Commissioned portfolio available upon request.
